The cut of the dress is meant to simply glide and skim over the body and then it flares out dramatically through the lower skirt

Hips: to 23"" flat across from side seam to side seam

They are tightly spaced and hand applied to circle the collar and plunge straight down the front in a 2" wide column of sparkles

Fully lined in a black cotton muslin and finished by hand

The runway version was in a different colour but it was otherwise the same. The set is incredibly beautiful and chic once on the body. True Haute Couture pieces by Karl for Chanel are so very rare and hard to come by. It is an extraordinary find. This is an historically important example of the work that Karl was doing for Chanel during this
