Hand-Turned Darning Egg Janome backing fabricHand turned solid wood darning eggs made by Liz in her garden shed workshop in Berkshire from reclaimed beech wood. These eggs each have their own unique character and are wonderful objects as well as the ideal sock darning kit. Measuring approximately 8cm in height and 5cm in width, the eggs have been oiled with food standard hemp oil and come with a swatch of yarn and a darning needle.
