The box contains an assortment of classic board games: chess, backgammon, liars' dice, steeplechase, dominoes, playing cards etc. Mostly original, but some extras have been added over the years (plastic counters, dice etc.) The chess pieces and cup, as well as backgammon counters are carved boxwood, some of the dice and the dominoes are bone,
